The wait has been hard, on and on,
The weight has weakened the strong,
The bait has got three prong,
If symptoms of strike persists.
The fate of students toyed upon,
The faith of parents wore on,
The gate of boredom opens on,

It is for your good, say they,
But while we are held sway,
Our birthright at their feet lay,

The fight has been tough, strong the wail,
What do we today?
While the sun shines, make hay?

These few months ago,
Many a student the wrong way go,
Surrogate, emergency parents now I know,

Students’ spirits at an all time low,
Looking for jobs with pay so low,
To survive the struggle with ways we know,

The warring parties sit and meet?
Deadlock results they come out with,
My fellow students, colleagues, will ye sit?
